Description

Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected in some locations.

Locations: Labrador Coast from Postville - Makkovik to Lodge Bay.

Maximum wind gusts: northwesterly 70 to 80 km/h, except 110 in the Black Tickle area.

Time span: this afternoon and evening.

Remarks: Conditions will deteriorate this afternoon as strengthening winds combine with fresh snowfall to cause widespread blowing snow. Blizzard-like conditions are likely in some areas, especially this evening.

Travel will likely be hazardous due to near-zero visibility.

Blowing snow advisories are issued when widespread poor visibility in blowing snow is expected.
