Yellow Warning - Rainfall

Description

Rainfall tonight will continue until Sunday afternoon.

Location: Churchill and area

Rainfall total: 25 to 50 mm by Friday morning. Additional 15 to 25 mm by Sunday afternoon.

Timing: Tonight through Sunday.

Remarks: The highest intensity of rainfall will be on Thursday and Thursday night. As the ground remains frozen and unable to absorb water effectively, periods of heavier rainfall may result in localized flooding and washouts.

Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Local utility outages are possible. Some property damage is possible.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant impacts are expected due to rainfall amounts.
