Description

Poor travel conditions expected tonight through Monday morning.

Bands of heavy snow will continue to develop this evening. Locations impacted will likely include the Highway 1 and Highway 2 corridors near Calgary and areas to the west.

Snowfall accumulations will be quite variable, with the highest amounts possibly reaching 15 to 25 cm. Expect periods of poor visibility and rapidly accumulating snow in some areas.

The snowfall will become more widespread later tonight, bringing an additional 5 to 10 cm to the foothills and much of central Alberta by Monday afternoon.

Allow extra time for travel.
