Slowing down and using more caution on the roads is a given during snowy winter months, but officials say some of the more severe collisions often happen during summer.
Drivers are reminded not to let their guard down no matter the road conditions. Watch the video above to find out why summer months can be equally, if not more, fatal on the roads than winter.
