Wearing masks during COVID-19 'literally' a matter of life and death: Bill Nye
The renowned science educator and TV personality recently posted a TikTok video explaining why it's critical to wear a mask while in public during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It's been recommended for months that people should be wearing masks in outdoor and indoor spaces when physical distancing isn't possible, and to add to that argument is some advice from renowned science educator and TV personality, Bill Nye the Science Guy.
He took to TikTok recently to post a video on the importance of wearing masks during the COVID-19 pandemic and how they help prevent transmission.

In the video above, while wearing the N95 protective mask, which is designed to block particles in the medical environment or when you're mowing the law, Nye says wearing a mask is "literally" a matter of life and death during the pandemic.
"The reason we want you to wear a mask is to protect you, sure. But the main reason we want you to wear a mask is to protect me, from you, and the particles from your respiratory system from getting into my respiratory system," Nye said.
