Water conservation order in place after dry Nova Scotia summer

The order is mandatory. Residents of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, are being told to stop watering their lawns and gardens after a dry summer. The Weather Networks Nathan Coleman has the report.

The Weather Network is predicting that temperatures will continue to remain above normal in the Atlantic region through fall, including Nova Scotia. But if you were hoping to fill up the pool while you soak in the sun in Antigonish, you’ll want to think again.

Low water levels have forced the town to issue a mandatory water conservation order barring residents from watering their lawns, gardens, washing their vehicles and refilling their pools.

The Weather Network's Nathan Coleman speaks with the town’s Chief Administrative Officer about what went into the decision and how long the order might last in the video above.
