Saturday, August 17th 2019, 6:20 pm - The heavy rainfall caused localized flooding in low-lying areas
Severe thunderstorms began tracking across southern Ontario on Saturday afternoon and many took to social media to share their photos of the thunder, lightning, heavy rain, and hail.
A trough, the Niagara Escarpment, and a lake-breeze from Lake Ontario contributed to the severity of these storms that brought significant impacts to the Lake Simcoe area, Etobicoke, and downtown Toronto.
