Seaweed used as effective home insulator on the East Coast

It's a question realtor Jacqui Rostek posed on TikTok, with a video showing seaweed coming out of the ceiling in the basement of a home she was viewing.

"I don't see it a lot but I have definitely seen it a few times in older homes. It's like eel grass, sort of seaweed, and it was used as basically cheap insulation," said Rostek.
