Flurries lingered into Friday night as the moisture-laden Colorado low exited the province, as behind the low came a sharp drop in temperatures compared to the relative warmth that closed out the week.

Saturday will be cold once again, and marked by widespread, scattered snow flurries, but also brief but intense bursts of snow in some areas as the day passes.

Snowfall totals won't be anything too significant, but at this stage in the season, many are ready to call it quits. Especially after the relentless winter storms that have left more than 100 cm of snow still on the ground for places like Quebec City.

Sunny skies will make a comeback for the later half of Saturday and Sunday, although temperatures will still trend about 5°C below seasonal.
