8 confirmed tornadoes in Alberta so far this season, latest here
Thursday, June 28 was an active night in Alberta, as Environment Canada confirmed three tornadoes touched down in the evening.
This brings the province's 2019 total to eight so far, of which, seven occurred in June. Late June and early July is considered to be the peak of Alberta's tornado season.
On Saturday, June 29, Environment Canada released a summary confirming the touchdown of three EF0-rated twisters in three different locales - a tornadic waterspout near Cold Lake, one near Lac La Biche and one southeast of Slave Lake.

COLD LAKE TORNADIC WATERSPOUT CAUGHT ON CAMERA
"On the evening of June 28, a severe thunderstorm moved through the Cold Lake area. Environment Canada received multiple reports of quarter-sized hail (24 mm) and a tornado (waterspout) over Cold Lake, near North Bay, which moved over land and dissipated about 10 minutes after formation," Environment Canada said in the report.
