Mi'kmaq artist captures life — and the changing coastlines — on P.E.I.

Monday, June 21st 2021, 8:36 am - Candid Closeup is a weekly segment that features Canadians from coast to coast who love to share their weather. In this episode, The Weather Network's Kim MacDonald had the opportunity to speak with Mi'kmaq First Nation member Patricia Bourque, a 'lifestyle visual artist' who captures life on Prince Edward Island.

Mi'kmaq photographer Patricia Bourque calls Charlottetown home. Through her lens, she captures the people and places of her beloved island, but her keen eye has also witnessed the negative impacts of climate change in real-time as the deep red shoreline disappears.

You can watch Patricia's candid discussion with The Weather Network’s Kim MacDonald in the video above.
