Magnitude 4.3 earthquake strikes near Red Deer, Alberta

This is the second earthquake for this area in the past week

A 4.3 magnitude earthquake made for a rocky start to the day in Red Deer, Alberta early Sunday morning.

As reported by Earthquakes Canada, the earthquake had a depth of 10 kilometers and the epicenter of the earthquake was 93km and 134km southwest of Edmonton.

This earthquake comes just six days after a 4.6 earthquake was recored in the Red Deer area.

Seismic experts are analyzing data to determine the cause of the earthquake that occurred earlier in the week to look for possible correlations to nearby fracking activity.
