Magnitude 3.6 earthquake hits southern California, shaking felt in L.A. area
A magnitude 3.6 earthquake was reported in the Granada Hills area in southern California late Tuesday night, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS)
There were over 3,000 reports of light shaking felt throughout the San Fernando Valley and across other parts of the Los Angeles area.
"We are monitoring preliminary reports of a magnitude 3.6 #earthquake in the LA area. There are no reports of any damage and/or injuries to the LAPD at this time," Los Angeles police said on Twitter.
Officials with the L.A. Fire Department said no major infrastructure damage was reported and all normal operations had resumed.
