COTTAGE REPORT: UNOFFICIAL START TO SUMMER IS AROUND THE CORNER. CHECK OUT OUR COTTAGE REPORT & START PLANNING!

VINEGAR WATER VS. CALCIUM

Say goodbye to the calcium stains on carpets: mix 1 cup of white vinegar with 1 litre of hot water, add a drop of dish soap (optional) and rub with an old toothbrush. We tested this out and the result was amazing. Watch the video above! It really works!

GREASE WHEELS

If your wheels get stuck while switching from winter to spring tires, you’ll love this trick! Grease the barrel of the wheel to prevent it from getting stuck. A thin layer of a copper- or zinc-based metal grease will do the trick. Get that annoying tire change out of the way easily!

SODIUM BICARBONATE BEATS ODOURS

That musty smell inside your car (or your house) is probably coming from a wet carpet. Solution: sprinkle with baking soda. It’ll quickly absorb the odor, just like keeping a box of baking soda in the refrigerator! BakingSoda/Getty Images Baking soda neutralizes acidic odors, rather than masking them. TOOTHPASTE TO WASH AWAY MOSQUITOES

Squashed mostutoes on windows are tricky to remove. Toothpaste (WHITE, not blue) and an old toothbrush can help! Just put toothpast on the toothbrush and rub. This method can also clean your car's headlights; just rinse with hot water after and wipe dry. The results will amaze you!
