Autoimmune diseases and the dangers of the sun

As we absorb sunshine our body has a reaction. Some can be positive like the creation of vitamin D, and some negative like cell mutation creating the risk of cancers.

For some Canadians, especially those with autoimmune diseases such as Parksinsons or Lupus, sun exposure can have a much larger impact.

In the video above, The Weather Network's Rachel Schoutsen and Saphia Khambalia explore these two diseases and why the sun may create larger reactions and complications for those who suffer the disease.
