Curiosity got the best of reporter Nathan Coleman, and he ended up tracking down the founder of the Facebook group Nova Scotia Hardcore Metal Detecting, Chris Meyers.
Meyers has found everything from cannon balls to centuries old coins— each worth upwards of $800—while detecting the ground in Parrsboro, N.S. According to Meyers, the best time to go out is after a hurricane.
