Health workers administer COVID vaccine to motorists stuck in snow storm

Friday, January 29th 2021, 12:26 pm - Rather than waste the vaccines, the stranded workers administered the shots to motorists.

Amid reports of difficulties in securing a COVID-19 vaccine appointment in the U.S., a small group of motorists in Oregon recently had the precious shot delivered right to their cars.

Public health workers in Josephine County were on the way back to their base after participating in a mass vaccination clinic when they became stranded in a snowstorm. They had six leftover doses of the vaccine, which would expire soon.

Rather than wasting them, workers went from car to car offering it to people. An ambulance was on hand in case anyone suffered a reaction, CNN reports.

All six doses were given to stranded motorists.
