Chilly showers to close out the last week of October in Ontario
Showers gradually spread across southern Ontario Friday, lasting into Saturday for some places.
A very much 'October-like' end to the work week is ahead for southern Ontario, with showers beginning in the southwest early morning and spreading to cover much of the region over the course of the day. They'll linger longest in eastern Ontario Saturday, and though the rest of the province will have dried out by then, most places can expect a gusty Saturday, and an unsettled Sunday. A more detailed look, below.
FRIDAY: RAINY END TO THE WEEK FOR MANY
The system's impacts will begin in the predawn hours in southwestern Ontario, with rain beginning in the Windsor area then and spreading to the rest of the southwest through the morning.
Next up is the Greater Toronto Area and cottage country, where the rain spreads through the afternoon and evening hours, though those areas will, by and large, have had a mostly rain-free day. Finally, eastern Ontario sees the rain begin overnight.
In all, most places across the south will see at lwast some showers, with some 20-40 mm possible along and a bit inland of the shores of Lake Erie, with round 5-20 mm possible for the GTA, heaviest in western parts of the metropolis.

THE WEEKEND: REMAINING UNSETTLED AND CLOUDY
By Saturday morning, the GTA and southwest will see showers end and all-in-all, those areas can look forward to a mostly dry Saturday. But for eastern Ontario, the rain looks to continue for the better part of Saturday.
Whether dry or still showery, the region as a whole will be subject to a brisk, northeasterly wind throughout Saturday, with peak gusts in the 40-50 km/h range, though perhaps a little higher along the exposed shorelines of western Lake Ontario.

Conditions will improve on Sunday, though there is the risk for lake effect showers off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, but that will not be widespread and most places will remain dry.
Temperature-wise, Halloween sees temperatures a little above or a little below 10°C for most of the region.
