SUNDAY AND BEYOND: STORMY CONDITIONS FOR SOUTHERN ONTARIO, COOLER WEATHER ON THE HORIZON
The two main areas that may see the storms are the GTA or just west of it, and north of the GTA in central cottage country. These storms should start popping up in the afternoon.

At around 2 p.m., it looks like thunderstorms will occur in the Petawawa area. Right after that, it looks like storms will start in cottage country, around the Peterborough, Bancroft, Barry's Bay area. And then into the evening, there looks to be heavy rainfall around the Ontario-Quebec border around the Gatineau area.
Beyond, the hot, muggy conditions will continue into next week with temperatures in the upper 20s and lower 30s, in some locales, with humidex values hitting the upper 30s.
As well, a cold front will track across southern Ontario Monday into Tuesday, potentially setting off thunderstorms on both days.

A cold front will cross the region late next week with a period of rain and thunderstorms. However, there is still considerable uncertainty in the timing of the cold front. But a few days of cooler weather is expected by late week and into the weekend.
Keep an eye on the forecast as we continue to monitor Ontario's weather outlook.
