Accessing latest forecast information just got easier with new widgets
The Weather Network is excited to launch our new iOS Lock Screen widgets available with the latest iOS 16 version. The Home Screen widgets are also available for anyone that has an older version of iOS or an Android phone. These customizable widgets will make it easier than ever to access your weather forecasts.
Without having to physically open our App, the widgets share the current weather, enabling you to stay up-to-date on local trends easily. You can also quickly glance at today’s forecast, winds, and more, right from your Lock Screen or your Home Screen.
Adding a Lock Screen widget to your phone
Users can choose how they want the forecast to appear on their iPhone’s Lock Screen, and it is fully customizable.
Here’s how to install it:
From your lock screen, touch and hold on to an empty area until the “collections” set-up screen appears.
Tap the “customize” button at the bottom of the screen.
Tap the widget area and select the widget(s) that you want to add.

Adding widgets to your iPhone's Home Screen
Adding a widget to your iPhone’s home screen will allow for fast access to the daily forecast, and other important weather data.
Here’s how to install it:
From the home screen, touch and hold an empty area until the apps jiggle.
Tap the “add” (+) button in the upper-left corner.
Search or scroll down to find The Weather Network.
Select from three widget sizes, then tap “add widget.”
