2022 has been crowned Winnipeg's wettest year on record, which takes the combination of rain and snow. It reached an unprecedented 739.9 mm as of Oct. 24
What a difference a couple of years makes. 2020 was the driest year on record for Winnipeg, Man., with just 305 mm of precipitation. Drought conditions reached a crescendo in the summer of 2021, peaking at exceptional drought status for the region.

As for the long-range forecast? It looks dry. The Red River Valley will get a bit of a break from the recent heavy rainfall associated with the Colorado low.
