Waskesiu Lake is large and located within one of Canadas National Parks making it both popular with tourists but also keeping it fairly natural. It 7.80 for an individual to enter the park for the day or 19.60 for a group of up to 7 people. The park features an extensive trail system that surrounds Waskesiu Lake for those interested in hiking and there are over 240 types of birds living in the park for you to observe. Beaver Glen Campground Beach is located within the Beaver Glen Campground just outside of the Waskesiu Town Site. Parking is available at the sanitation station or at the outdoor theatre. The beach is about a 5 minute walk on a trail through the forest from the sanitation station or about a 10 minute walk from the outdoor theatre. The beach is made of coarse grain golden sand mixed with pebbles and woody debris. There are not many weeds on the beach and the water is very clear. It drops off quickly so swimmers should use caution. There is a designated swimming area marked by buoys but all swimming is unsupervised. Some beaches on Waskesiu are dog-friendly but this is not one of them. The beach is backed by a dense forest of trees and shrubs. The path leading to the beach area has outhouse amenities as well as trash facilities. The view from the beach is almost completely natural with a few residential properties visible on the surrounding shoreline. This is a great beach for those interested in a more quiet secluded feel while still in close proximity to the Waskesiu Town Site.
