Brightsand Lake is a large lake that is popular for recreational use. There is a 7 fee to enter the park or 40 for an annual pass with access to all Saskatchewan Regional Parks. The beach is about 300m long and is comprised of fine golden sand. The lake bottom is sandy and it drops off after about 5-10 meters. The water is very clear and there are no weeds in the water or on the beach. There is no designated swimming area and all swimming is unsupervised. No pets or ATVs allowed on the beach. Access to the beach is through the regional park gates past the campgrounds. The parking lot is paved and there is a lot of space for parking. The beach opens directly into the parking lot. The beach is buzzing with recreational users and the sand is hot to the touch a great place to lay down and relax in the sun. The water is very warm and enjoyable for swimming. There is a boat launch a few meters down from the beach with a public dock. The view from the beach is natural forest giving the beach a more private feel. It is bordered on both sides by natural forest. The beach backs onto several recreational amenities such as a small grassy park a playground for children that is visible from the beach a day use gazebo and benches for seating. There is a concession located in the park area with snacks and other beach requirements. Washrooms and trash facilities are located nearby. This is a great place to relax and spend a day and camping is available in the park for those wishing to stay overnight.
