Caddy Lake part of Whiteshell Provincial Park and named after J.S. Caddy a construction engineer with the Canadian Pacific Railway is famous for its 3 canoe routes Caddy Lake Whiteshell River and Mantario. On the Caddy Lake route paddlers can travel through rock tunnels constructed from the days of the establishment of the railroad that connect the lake to South and North Cross Lakes. These routes are also accessible by motorboat. A boat launch is available along with group and picnic areas. Boat canoe kayak and paddleboard rentals are available nearby. The area is also known for good fishing along the rocky shores common catches include walleye smallmouth bass northern pike and yellow perch. The Lily Pond just west of the lake and the McGillivray Falls and Whiteshell River self-guided hiking trails also offer other recreational opportunities.
