Ten Mile Lake Provincial Park Short Term Forecast
Ten Mile Lake is a popular tourist area with picnic sites beaches a boat launch and hiking trails. The Beaver Pond Nature Trail leads back to a beaver pond. This park was named after the milepost on the Pacific Great Eastern Railway from the 1900s. This park is situated within the Fraser Basin in the transition area between the Quesnel Highalnds to the East and the Chilcotin Plateau on the west and is very bio-diverse with varying plant species including Douglas fir aspen lodgepole pine white spurice osier dogwood and saskatoon.Note that ATVs are restricted to park roads and parking lots. The park also issued a caution that visitors on trails should be aware of the hazardous trees damaged by pine beetles and strongly advise hikers and birdwatchers to stay off the trails in windy weather.This beach is not monitored nor do we have any data on it. While it may be safe to swim please check with your local authorities or watch for posted signs.
