It is the traditional territory of the Secwepemc (Shuswap) First Natio. Canim Lake features Canim Falls volcanic cones (near Spanish Creek) and ancient First Nation pictographs. Its geological history is evident in the glacial remnants of a big pebble beach. Many activities abound at this lake including skiing snowmobiling sledding and sleigh-rides skating hiking paddling and fishing.
