While it may be safe to swim please check with your local authorities or watch for posted signs.BEACH INFO:Located 49 km (30.4 miles) southwest of Kamloops Calling Lake is a high-elevation lake stocked annually with rainbow trout up to three pounds. Located on the north end of the lake is a boat launch and one rustic campsite on the west of the dam on the north side of the outlet and another rustic campsite on the north shore. Along the shoreline are scattered patches of sedge and grasses within the riparian area. Due to the shallow waters with a maximum depth of 8.2 metres (26.9 feet) and extensive shoal area the lake is home to large amounts of aquatic plant types along with leeches waterboatmen caddis fly larvae fresh water shrimp sedge snails and chironomids.
