Wizard Lake Jubilee Beach, AB

Wizard Lake Jubilee Beach Short Term Forecast

Beach Conditions

Wizard Lake Jubilee Park Beach is a day use park in addition to a Leduc County operated campground. The beach is sandy with a swimming area that is less shallow than other lakes and deepens quickly. The beach and picnic area are on a slope with all the amenities required for a day at the beach including a playground concession and washroom. The water is usually a little to a lot green with algae growth because of the small size of Wizard Lake. There is a 6 parking charge for day use and the parking lot provides good access to the beach. The larger beaches of Pigeon Lake are about 20 minutes south of Wizard Lake. Wizard Lake no water quality advisories for 2012 and 2013. In 2011 an Alberta Health Services Blue Green Algae Health Advisory was posted from July 28 to the end of the bathing season.NOTE: July 18-Nov 12/2014: Blue-green algae advisory issued for Wizard Lake
