Williamson Provincial Park Beach, AB
Williamson Provincial Park Beach Short Term Forecast
Williamson PP Beach is on Sturgeon Lake and is a little more on the pebbly and grassy side. It is a popular spot for locals and the swimming area is shallow enough for kids but allows for swimming as well. The water is a little clearer than some of the more central Alberta lakes with a healthy amount of weeds. There is a dock and boat launch and the usual day use and camping amenities. The PP is named after a Scottish settler in the area.NOTE: AHS Advisory Notice: July 22-Nov 6/2014: Blue-green algae advisory issued for Sturgeon Lakehttp://www.albertahealthservices.ca/assets/news/advisories/ne-pha-2014-07-22-bga-sturgeon-lake.pdfWilliamson PP Beach was open for the whole of the 2011 2012 and 2013 bathing seasons and has had no water quality advisories in recent years.
