Hilliard's Bay Provincial Park Beach on Slave Lake, AB
Hilliard's Bay Provincial Park Beach on Slave Lake Short Term Forecast
On the Northwest shore of Lesser Slave Lake Hilliard's Bay Beach in the PP is a tranquil oasis. Lots of sand and clear warm waters in the Summer for bathing in the gradual shallow waters of the beach. Lesser Slave Lake was named by the Cree in the area and translates to 'stranger' or 'those here before us'. There is a boat launch and fish cleaning area and all of the amenities required for day use or camping. This is a popular camping area because of the facilities location and the fact that it is on the clear and bountiful Lesser Slave Lake. Historically excellent water quality. Photo credit to Steve. The lake levels were high in 2011 2012 and 2013 resulting in less beach. The beach was open for the whole of the 2011 2012 and 2013 bathing seasons and the lake has historically good water quality.
