Beach Conditions

Carson-Pegasus PP is better known for stocked trout fishing than the beach and swimming but a small sandy beach and restricted swimming area are available to campers. The beach has all of the amenities available to campers with a boat launch and boardwalk for shore casting. The water is usually clear and warms up in the summer months of July and August. The lake has historically good water quality. No beach or lake water quality advisories were posted in 2013.NOTE: A blue-green algae heath advisory was posted for McLeod Lake from July 27 until the end of the bathing season in 2012.
