Heat Warning

Issued at 15:26 Sunday 01 August 2021

Unseasonably hot temperatures continue through most of Saskatchewan through the long weekend. Temperatures towards the Alberta border will be particularly hot with daytime temperatures in the low thirties and overnight lows staying in the teens. Some of the heat warnings currently in effect may continue past the long weekend, through to mid week.

In addition, smoke from wild fires may affect air quality at times. The smoke and high temperatures may combine to bring further health stress on some individuals.

Extreme heat affects everyone.

Please call HealthLine 811 for advice on health risks, symptoms and precautions associated with heat.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to or tweet reports using #SKStorm.
