DescriptionThis emergency advisory alert is being issued for the province of Saskatchewan. All travelers returning from outside of Canada are subject to a mandatory 14 day self isolation order. Violation of the order may result in a fine of 2000 dollars.

A period of very cold wind chills is expected.
An Arctic ridge of high pressure continues to give frigid temperatures to portions of central Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Temperatures in the minus thirties along with winds of 10 to 15 km/h will produce extreme cold windchills of minus 40 or colder. Temperatures are expected to moderate slightly through the day today. However, extreme cold will return for a third night to some areas tonight and Tuesday.

Risks are greater for young children, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, people working or exercising outdoors, and those without proper shelter.
