Update for the Civil Emergency Alert issued by the Government of Saskatchewan. The state of emergency in Saskatchewan remains in effect.
UPDATE: for the week of August 4: the public is being reminded, as additional businesses, services and activities re-open during Phase 4.2, to always practice physical distancing of 2 metres when engaging with others.
During all Phases of Re-Open Saskatchewan all public health orders, are to be followed and applied in all public and private gatherings.

Heat Warning

Issued at 10:30 Wednesday 05 August 2020

High temperatures will continue in central Saskatchewan today and Thursday. Temperatures will hit near 30 both days with limited respite with warm overnight temperatures.

Cooler air will gradually work its way into the area by the weekend. .


Extreme heat affects everyone.

The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
