Frost Advisory

Issued at 15:24 Wednesday 30 September 2020

Frost may destroy fruit crops, vegetables, and other plants.

Widespread frost is expected to develop overnight over southern Saskatchewan.

Light winds, clearing skies, and temperatures dropping below zero tonight are creating a prime environment for the development of frost. Frost is forecast to be widespread across southern Saskatchewan by Thursday morning.

Also of note, tonight is the last night frost advisories are issued for this growing season.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to or tweet reports using #SKStorm.
