A warm and very humid air mass will move into Central Quebec on Saturday. Humidex values will be high and reach 40.
Plan to visit and check up on loved ones (neighbours, friends and family), especially those who suffer from a loss of autonomy, from a chronic disease or those who live alone, in order to ensure they are cool and not dehydrated.
The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
