Winter Storm WarningIssued at 11:37 Sunday 05 December 2021
Snow followed by freezing precipitation expected.
Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 20 centimetres are expected beginning Sunday evening. The Laurentians and Lanaudière areas could see accumulations up to 25 centimetres. The snow will be followed by a period of freezing rain on Monday.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.
Winter storm warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together.
