Flash Freeze Warning

Issued at 22:31 Monday 09 December 2019

A vigorous cold front will make temperatures drop rapidly Tuesday.

Temperatures will climb above the freezing mark tonight before dropping rapidly below the freezing mark beginning Tuesday morning over the westernmost regions and this afternoon for the remaining regions.

Roads, still wet in many areas, may suddenly become very icy and very slippery.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.

Flash freeze warnings are issued when a rapid drop in temperature is expected, that can cause water from rain or melted snow on streets and sidewalks to quickly freeze.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to or tweet reports using #QCStorm.
