Winter Storm Warning

Issued at 04:53 Saturday 29 January 2022

Hazardous winter conditions are expected.

Snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 centimetres, strong winds and blowing snow are expected this evening and overnight tonight.

Snow combined with winds reaching up to 80 kilometres per hour will give poor to zero visibilities in blowing snow.

Snowfall amounts could reach 50 centimetres over higher terrain.

Consider modifying any non-essential travel plans.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Road closures are possible.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to or tweet reports using #QCStorm.
