Special Weather StatementIssued at 04:44 Saturday 27 November 2021
A low pressure system tracking across Quebec will give significant snowfall amounts over several areas of Central and Eastern Quebec by this evening. Generally, total snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 centimetres are expected over Central Quebec and the Lower St. Lawrence.
Behind this system, strong winds combined with fresh snow may produce blowing snow giving reduced visibilities today.
Please note that a warning is currently in effect for the the Kamouraska, Parc des Laurentides, Manicouagan and Saguenay areas. Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 centimetres are expected by this evening over these areas.
Quickly accumulating snow will make travel difficult.
While driving, be prepared for areas of near zero visibility.
Consider modifying any non-essential travel plans.
