Summary

Hazardous winter conditions are expected.

A major low pressure system will affect Central and Eastern Quebec overnight tonight and Thursday.

This system will bring heavy snow to these regions, with more than 25 to 35 cm expected over some areas.

In addition, the strong winds combined with the snow will give near zero visibilities in blowing snow. Highway closures are possible.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.

Summary

A major low pressure system will affect Southwestern Quebec as of Wednesday, Central Quebec on Thursday and Eastern Quebec on Friday.

This system will bring snow to most regions, with amounts possibly exceeding 15 centimetres.
The worst conditions are expected Thursday morning.

Please note that over Southwestern Quebec Wednesday evening, precipitations may fall as rain with a slight risk of freezing rain before it changes over to snow on Thursday.

Expect poor travelling conditions due to low visibility and rapidly accumulating snow on roads, especially Thursday morning. Consider changing your travel plans.
