Messy wintry mix kicks off the weekend in Atlantic Canada
Alerts in Effect
Special Weather StatementIssued at 15:58 Friday 26 November 2021
Significant snowfall beginning this evening.
A low pressure system from the Great Lakes will move to lie over Eastern Quebec and possibly give 10 to 15 centimetres of snow between Friday evening and Saturday.
Behind this system, strong winds combined with fresh snow could produce blowing snow giving reduced visibilities on Saturday.
Quickly accumulating snow will make travel difficult.
While driving, be prepared for areas of near zero visibility.
Consider modifying any non-essential travel plans.
