Winter Storm WarningIssued at 04:11 Thursday 27 February 2020
A major winter storm is expected.
A major low pressure system will affect these regions later today and lasting until late tonight.
This system will bring heavy snow, with total accumulations of 20 to 40 centimetres.
Moreover, strong to high winds combined with snow will reduce visibilities to near zero in blowing snow, especially along the shoreline. Highway closures are possible.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.
Winter storm warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together.
