Extreme Cold WarningIssued at 04:22 Sunday 29 January 2023
An Arctic air mass combined with moderate winds will generate an extended period of extreme cold conditions. During the week, wind chill values between minus 38 and minus 44 are expected, mostly in the overnight and early morning hours.
Extreme cold puts everyone at risk.
Extreme cold warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frost bite and hypothermia.
