Late season significant snowfall
A low pressure system will move across the province of Quebec on Wednesday and Thursday. Snow associated with this system has the potential to bring significant amounts to parts of Central and Eastern Quebec. At this time, it appears that the most affected areas will be those of the Eastern Townships, the Beauce and Eastern Quebec. Snowfall amounts over these areas may reach or even exceed 15 centimetres.
This late season snowfall could result in a very dangerous road network and cause major slowdowns. In addition, roads could be even more slippery for motorists who have already switched from winter to summer tires.
