Ontarians told to wait out this dangerous blizzard at home, major highways close
Hazardous winter conditions are expected.
An additional 10 to 15 centimetres of snow is expected this afternoon north of Quebec City while the Charlevoix Area should receive up to 20 centimetres more.
The snow combined with strong northeast winds will also give near zero visibilities in blowing snow.
Weather conditions will improve this evening.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
