Atlantic: Early season nor'easter threatens heavy rain, 100 km/h wind gusts

Rain and wind on Thursday.
An intense low pressure system will track towards the region on Thursday. Rain and high winds will develop Thursday afternoon and ease Thursday evening. Easterly wind gusts of up to 80 km/h are likely with higher gusts possible. Higher than normal water levels and rough surf is also possible near high tide along the north coast Thursday afternoon and evening.
Rain will taper to showers Thursday evening with showers likely on Friday. Total rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm are expected.
