Summary

Tropical storm force winds associated with Post-Tropical Storm Teddy will continue, but are expected to remain just below wind warning criteria.

Potential wind gusts: 60 to 80 km/h over exposed areas and along parts of the coast.

Locations: Iles de la Madeleine and Prince Edward Island.

Time span: into this evening.

Remarks: A round of strong northwesterly winds are expected later today in the wake of Teddy after it crosses eastern Nova Scotia in the morning. These northwesterly winds could potentially gust to 70 to 80 km/h as well before diminishing late in the day.

A tropical storm watch means that tropical storm conditions (sustained winds near 65 km/h or more) are possible over parts of the region within 36 hours.
