Extreme Cold WarningIssued at 14:45 Sunday 20 January 2019
A prolonged period of very cold wind chills is expected.
Wind chill values of minus 40 to minus 45 are occurring over much of Northern Ontario due to an Arctic airmass affecting the region.
Conditions will begin to slowly moderate through Monday.
Risks are greater for young children, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, people working or exercising outdoors, and those without proper shelter.
