Hot temperatures again today, before a slight reprieve this weekend.
Afternoon temperatures are forecast to reach at least 30 degrees Celsius today, with Humidex values near 36.
A slight decrease in temperatures will then occur tonight through the weekend. However, by Monday of next week, temperatures reaching or exceeding 31 degrees during the day and remaining at or above 21 degrees at night, are expected to return. These extremes temperatures will likely persist through the entire week.
Extreme heat affects everyone.
The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.
